In September 2008, we launched a discipleship strategy which we believe will intentionally lead individuals through a process of becoming committed followers of Christ.
Some of the components of the FBCC Discipleship Strategy are as follows:
1. 30 Core Competencies

10 competencies focus on belief (i.e., Trinity, Salvation by Grace, Personal God, etc.)

10 competencies focus on virtue (i.e., Love, Joy, Patience, Self-control, etc.)

10 competencies focus on practice (i.e., Prayer, Spiritual Gifts, Worship, etc.)
2. Alignment.

Most sermons are linked to one of the 30 core competencies

Weekly devotionals for the week's comptency are avialable at our resource center.

Neighborhood small groups discuss the competency of the week
3. Resource Center

The resource center has books, cd's etc. for each of the 30 core competencies

The resource center also has books and supplies for any special discipleship classess.

The resource center provides access to Bible study material and other items
4. Personal Assessment
- A personal assessment tool for the 30 core competencies is available at the resource center.
- A spiritual gifts/personality assessment tool is also available.
- Participants in Connection Class take a personal assseement to help them know where to focus
6. Small Groups (on and off campus)
7. Specialty Groups

These groups meet on campus on Wednesday and consist of topical Bible studies for men, women and youth

We also have a series of recovery-based classes on Sunday nights at the ROC
