Who we are:
 
Seeking to obey the "Go ye" of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Redemption Ministry (or Redemption Mission) is a missionary advance among the peoples of South America that began in the year 1985 with evangelistic labors in the country of Brazil. In 1987, evangelism was begun in the neighboring country of Argentina, and we continue to work in the northwestern region of that country. In addition, evangelistic trips are made occasionally, or have been made in the past, in other South American countries such as Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay, and Uruguay. We are a ministry of two churches, First Baptist Church of Centre, Alabama and First Baptist Church of Rudge Ramos in the metro area of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Our administrative office is located in Passo Fundo, in the southernmost Brazilian state, Rio

Current Prayer Requests from South America:
 
Thanks to God-
  • For the relocation of our office and my home to the South of Brazil in January of this year (2009).
  • For blessings in the family of Carlos and Adriana Jimenez (who work with us in Argentina) in the birth of their second child Gabriela.
  • For blessings also to Alejandro and Julieta Aguilar (in Argentina) in the birth of a daughter, their first child

New prayer requests-

  • A good beginning for weekly prayer meetings in Passo Fundo, Brazil scheduled to start in September (2009).
  • Blessings of development and growth for the mission congregation in Saujil, Argentina.
  • A regaining of our forward momentum in the missionary work in northwestern Argentina, and that new congregations will be started there in cities and towns such as: Las Estancias, Colpes, Pomán, Antofagasta, Tinogasta, San José, Santa Maria, and Amaicha del Valle.
  • The baptism of the new believers in the locations where we work.
  • God's hand upon the workers (and their families), to protect, guide, and use them in His work.
  • God's supply of the financial needs of the mission's ministry in Argentina and Brazil.     
  • God's blessings for the work of two missionary families of the First Baptist Church of Rudge
  • Ramos who workwith Indian tribes in Brazil's Amazon region: Pastor Alexandre and Alessandra Conde- the Apinajé Tribe
  • Pastor Chico and Daisy Albuquerque- the Gaviao Tribe        
  • That God will open new "doors"of opportunity for service for us here in South America.
