At First Baptist Centre, we minister to our seniors by teaching the Bible through Sunday School classes, home, hospital and nursing home visitation, and worship services each Sunday morning.
When you join our Senior adult Sunday School ministry, you will be welcomed into a loving community of people that are more than willing to provide you with the tools you need to become more grounded in the Christian faith, acquire greater Bible knowledge, and to experience life-change as you apply the Bible to your daily life.
Sunday School starts at 9:45 a.m. If you visit First Baptist Centre for the first time, you will receive a gift bag along with a flyer providing more information about all of our Sunday School groups. You may also pick up the same flyer in our church’s Welcome Center.
At the Cherokee Health and Rehab Center we provide Bible studies at 6 PM on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM. At the Cherokee Manor, we offer Bible studies at 9:45 AM on Sundays. Also, members of First Baptist Centre regularly visit nursing home patients and our First Baptist Centre home-bound ministry volunteers make frequent visits to those who are physically unable to leave their homes to attend church.
On the second Tuesday of every month, we offer a senior adult get-together called Young At Heart at 10:30 AM (meal provided).
