cONGREGATIONAL CARE TEAMS

In an effort to serve and care for the members of our church family, we offer a ministry of congregational care teams. These teams provide care services in several areas. Both deacons and other church members are encouraged to participate.

  • fIRST-TIME GUEST OUTReach team

Members of this team will make a brief, front door visit to first-time guests on the afternoon of their first visit to First Baptist Centre. The team members will deliver a surprise gift and a pamphlet about our church. They will also answer any questions new guests may have.

  • hospital visitation team

This team visits First Baptist Church members who are hospitalized.

  • bereavement team

Members of this team will make calls and visits to persons in the church who have recently lost loved ones.

  • safety and security team

Safety and Security Team members assist in the development of safety and security policies and procedures for our church. Team members also patrol inside and outside the church on Sunday mornings.

  • moving team

Moving Team members assist those in need of assistance while relocating by helping with loading and/or unloading. Team members may also provide assistance to individuals in moving large objects in their home that are physically unable to do so.

  • small home repair team

Members on this team will use their construction and repair skills to make small repairs to the homes of single adults, widowed persons, the elderly, those recuperating, and those unable to leave their home.

  • new church member team

New Church Member Team members call or visit new members of First Baptist Centre to welcome them into our church family. Team members will encourage new members to attend Sunday School and assist them with developing friendships while also helping them become better acclimated to our church.

  • foster parents care teAM

Foster Parents Care Team members maintain stock in our foster parent resource room. Because foster parents may receive a child at odd hours, our resource room provides them with items most often needed at a moments notice such as diapers, clothing, toys, car seats, etc.
