At First Baptist Centre we strongly believe that a broken life can only be transformed by Jesus because He is the only one who can heal it. The people of our church are filled with powerful faith, committed to one vision, and united in the love of God. Our desire is to reach everyone in our community and beyond for Christ through multicultural and multigenerational ministry.

What to expect

You can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and relevant music and worship, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You can expect to find a place where creativity and fellowship come together to worship God in new and exciting ways. You can expect to be encouraged, challenged, convicted, excited and, most importantly, welcomed.

Our Mission

Our mission is to know Christ and make Him known.

“Knowing Christ” means developing a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We begin this relationship by trusting His death on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

"Making Him Known" means using our talents, abilities, and spiritual gifts God has given us to assist His Church to grow and new Christians to mature in their faith.

Our Vision

Our vision is to reach, teach, and send.

We want to become a church that focuses on reaching people for Jesus, teaching them to be fully committed to Him, and then sending those people out to get involved with ministries and missions in their communities and around the world.

Genuine Community

Sunday School and Small Groups are an essential part of our church, as they provide a place where deeper fellowship and better support for one another can take place. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings - in the synagogues - as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to be in deeper fellowship with God and one another.

We love music! Expect to hear everything from hymns to the most recent contemporary music you hear on the radio. We use music to show our Lord how much we love and honor Him.
