We are deeply involved in missions at First Baptist Centre. As our standard, we refer to Acts 1:8: “...you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
We believe in a global, integrated, comprehensive, and year-round missions strategy whereby our members learn, pray, give, and go. At the end of the day, we want all our members to actively participate in the Great Commission by spreading the Gospel message around the world.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
In order to get involved, you will need to complete a Missions Participant Application (linked below) and corresponding signature pages (available at the Church Office). We use the information you provide on this application to match you with a project that is right for you. After your application has been reviewed, we will contact you with additional information and instructions.
Find a place to serve
Kidz B.L.A.S.T.
A weekly fun and exciting Gospel-centered outreach program designed to bring families together for a time of Scripture learning, team-building, and discipleship. Learn more
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
A themed, week-long outreach event for children including Bible learning, crafts, games, music, and missions education.
Tribes
A summer-long "Survivor" inspired outreach program for middle school and high school students where teams compete in a series of challenges to win points and prizes. Learn more
Fields Of Faith
A Community-wide, student-led event featuring speakers and bands where students encourage each other to follow Jesus Christ.
Jail Ministry
A weekly opportunity to take the Gospel to the incarcerated.
Alabama Women’s Missionary Union (WMU)
Alabama WMU is an auxiliary to the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions with offices in Prattville, AL. Alabama WMU is responsible for Women's Ministry and works cooperatively with other state entities on evangelism for women and ministry to ministers' wives. Learn more

International Mission Board
Several of our members are currently serving overseas as full-time missionaries or are participating in short-term mission projects. As individuals and as a congregation, we participate with them through prayer, giving, and going. Learn more
International Commission
Teams travel to an international location where a host church or association will lead them in evangelistic outreach and discipleship in a designated area.
Operation Christmas Child
OCC boxes are filled with items such as toys, clothing, food, Bibles, and personal letters by our small groups and/or individuals. These care packages are then sent to children around the world during the Christmas season. Learn more
